Getaway to Brooklyn
I spotted this mural in a cute neighborhood near Lake Merritt. The first time I saw the mural was I on an evening exploration ‘round the lake and East lake neighborhoods. After a second visit and a chat with the business owner I have some good leads on finding even more murals in the city.
Louisiana
I went to Louisiana for a MLK week of service-sans computer. Loved it! After landing back in the Bay and running a few errands I ran into this LOVELY art ad, yet again on the embarcadero. Oakland Redwood Trees!
Where is this? How can I get to this place? It looks like an enchanted forest, and is that a wood chip path?! Wow, good job Oakland Convention & Visitors bureau. I’m not sure when this marketing mouse pad was released, but I get to see it everyday at work! I love it. Who knew? Sadly, mouse pads may be making their way out as touch screens move to the forefront, but let’s enjoy...
