The Prescott-Joseph Center For Community Enhancement, Inc., a very distinguished health centered organization is in an equally distinctive Italianate Victorian, previously a convent in Oakland. The 920 Peralta St. location, ushers in 10th street from the west, with a grand tree in front of the building. There is a ramp for ease of entering the stunning 2 homes which are seamlessly one. All Artworks, mono prints, mixed media, acrylic paintings, photos, ink drawings, collages, limited edition prints are on the first level.
“Elative Blacks and Women” is a contemporary mash-up of what is usually 2 very brief exhibits, one for Black History Month followed with a Women’s Month Exhibit.
It’s all about the Arts, while Prescott-Joseph includes services for keeping families safe, a food pantry, the Northern CA Breathmobile(R), an Art program to re-strengthen women released from incarceration, soccer for youth, and artists placed Prescott Elementary and King Elementary - visit: prescottjoseph.org
