Biked through the Golden Gate today. I absolutely love my commute from Oakland (home) to El Cerrito (work).
Good spots to ride on this commute include West street bike lane in Oakland, Doyle street bike way in Emeryville, and the Ohlone greenway in Berkeley Albany and El Cerrito. Divine, divine I tell you!
Yasss! You know I’m up for a photo challenge…and the McLaughlin Eastshore State Park runs through Oakland (from the foot of the Bay Bridge all the way up to just north of Point Isabel). Let’s do it. Who’s up for the challenge?
My favorite spot in McLaughlin Eastshore State Park is Emeryville approaching Oakland - great views and a prime spot for biking (flat!).

Citizens for East Shore Parks is launching a photo challenge to learn about your favorite places in McLaughlin Eastshore State Park. The park runs 8.5 miles along the shoreline from Oakland near the foot of the Bay Bridge to Richmond just north of Point Isabel.
How to participate:
1. Share a picture of your favorite spot in McLaughlin Eastshore State Park. (View a map of the park on the Citizens for East Shore Parks Facebook page: click here.)
2. Email your photo and reason why this is your favorite place to pjones{at}eastshorepark{dot}org.
3. CESP will share the images at the Berkeley Bay Festival, Saturday, April 13, 11am-4pm, as part of our environmental education activity highlighting favorite places in McLaughlin Eastshore State Park.
4. CESP may share the images on our social networks and website.
Outcome: We’ll encourage others to protect, explore and learn about our shoreline.
